Are you a skilled tractor operator with a passion for working outdoors? Do you take pride in maintaining beautiful, functional landscapes and want to be part of a world‑class operation? If that sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you. A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a hardworking and enthusiastic Estates and Maintenance Groundsperson to join our dedicated team, working across both Moulton Paddocks and Godolphin Stables in Newmarket. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll play a key part in maintaining the grounds and paddocks that support our elite thoroughbred operation. The work is varied and seasonal – with grass cutting taking priority in the summer months, and tree work and woodland management becoming a key focus during the winter. You’ll need to be reliable, safety‑conscious, and confident working with a range of machinery – especially tractors.

We offer a salary of £30,461.00.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out tree work and woodland management duties.
  • Operating tractors for a variety of tasks including grass cutting, harrowing, fertiliser spreading and over‑seeding.
  • Hedge cutting using a tractor‑mounted flail.
  • Strimming and general grounds maintenance.
  • Fencing and fence repair work.
  • Teleporter loader operation.
  • Knapsack spraying.
  • Chainsaw operation (where qualified).

About You

  • Tractor experience is essential, along with a full UK driving licence.
  • Previous experience in a similar role (e.g. landscaping, farming, groundskeeping, forestry or estate maintenance).
  • You’ll have a strong work ethic and a can‑do attitude, with the ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Able to work a set working pattern: Monday to Friday 8am‑4:30pm, with a weekend rota (1 in 6 weekends, mornings only).
