About the Role
Do you have a keen interest in the horseracing industry? Looking for an admin‑based role that allows you to contribute to the smooth running of the world’s largest horseracing operation? Look no further, because Godolphin are hiring a Racing Assistant to join their tight‑knit team at Moulton Paddocks racing yard Newmarket, which has been home to numerous champions including Dubai Millenium.
This is a rare opportunity for a part‑time position, 30 hours a week Monday – Friday (plus weekend mornings on a rota basis).
Day to day activities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain and organise vaccinations for all horses and update passports, Weatherbys and France Galop.
- Maintain the internal horse database with weights and physio notes.
- Order key supplies for the racing yard & office.
- Organise shipping of equipment to Dubai.
- Record and maintain an organised database for staff holidays.
- Assist with staff queries, distribute information to the yard regarding staff holidays, sick leave, accidents and weights.
About You
- A thorough knowledge of the horse racing industry.
- A minimum of 2 years administrative experience.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work accurately with a high level of attention to detail.
- Knowledge and/or experience of dealing with veterinary information not essential.
- Experience of database and information systems not essential.
