Position
An enthusiastic, well‑qualified and experienced organ teacher is needed to join the school on a part‑time basis from September 2026. Teaching will be allocated between a half‑day and one full day per week, and the department will have access to three organs: an electric three‑manual Allen Renaissance with 62 stops, a Harrison & Harrison two‑manual pipe organ, and a brand new Viscount Ensign FV42 practice organ.
Responsibilities
- Teach students ranging from complete beginners to high‑standard performers, developing technique and musicianship.
- Prepare pupils for Associated Board (or equivalent) music exams and the practical components of GCSE and A Level examinations.
- Accompany chamber choirs at evensongs in external venues such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, St. George’s Windsor, Hampton Court, Winchester Cathedral and Southwark Cathedral.
Qualifications
Candidates should be experienced organ teachers with a strong background in piano and organ repertoire, and a demonstrated ability to educate students of varied skill levels.
