We are a growing luxury menswear streetwear brand looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Assistant Designer / Product Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for product development, garment construction, and the end-to-end sampling process. You will play a key role in supporting the design and development team, ensuring products move efficiently from concept through to production. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development & Design Support
- Create and maintain detailed tech packs for suppliers and manufacturers.
- Assist with product development from initial concept through to final production.
- Prepare specification sheets, measurement charts, and construction details.
- Support design research, fabric sourcing, and trim development.
- Help manage fit comments and sample feedback.
- Sampling & Production Administration
- Organise and track the entire sampling process.
- Maintain sample logs and development calendars.
- Liaise with suppliers and factories regarding sample requests, revisions, and timelines.
- Ensure all samples are received, reviewed, and documented accurately.
- Coordinate sample shipments and maintain sample archives.
- Administration & Organisation
- Manage critical path deadlines and development schedules.
- Keep product development files, documents, and systems updated.
- Organise product information, costing sheets, and supplier communications.
- Support the team with general administrative tasks and project coordination.
- Ensure accuracy across all product data and documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a design, product development, or garment technical role within the fashion industry.
- Strong understanding of garment construction and manufacturing processes.
- Experience creating tech packs and technical specifications.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
- Strong communication skills and confidence when liaising with suppliers.
