Role Title: Brand Manager, Brand & Communications

Site Introduction

In 2021, pladis proudly opened the doors to our vibrant global hub, the MIU Campus. Located in the heart of Chiswick Park, West London. Just a short 5-minute walk from Gunnersbury Station, our campus is nestled within 33 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens, offering a welcoming and inspiring environment for all. Chiswick Park is home to both our UK and Global Corporate teams, bringing together diverse teams across the business.

What will this role achieve?

The Brand Manager, Brand & Communications will play a pivotal role in bringing the Godiva brand strategy to life through the development and deployment of world-class communications, campaigns, content and brand assets. The role will ensure Godiva presents a consistent, distinctive and premium brand experience across all global markets, channels and touchpoints.

Working at the centre of brand building, the role will translate brand strategy into effective execution by creating communication platforms, campaign materials, content plans and toolkits that enable markets to activate the Godiva brand locally while maintaining global consistency. The role will strengthen brand equity, improve mental availability, support innovation launches and contribute to commercial growth through impactful and effective communications.

The position will also act as a key connector between Brand, Design, Category, Commercialisation and regional teams, ensuring communications are aligned, scalable and delivered to the highest standards.

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Support the development and execution of global communication platforms, campaigns and brand storytelling initiatives.
  • Create and manage global communication toolkits, playbooks and asset libraries to support market activation.
  • Develop campaign briefs and coordinate agency partners to deliver high-quality communication assets on time and within agreed standards.
  • Build and manage content plans and calendars across retail, ecommerce, CRM, social media, digital and other customer touchpoints.
  • Support the delivery of global seasonal campaigns, product launches and key brand moments.
  • Coordinate the creation, review and deployment of communication assets, ensuring alignment with Godiva's premium brand positioning and distinctive assets.
  • Support creator, influencer, PR and content partnership programmes that enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Partner closely with Design teams to ensure all communications are visually distinctive, consistent and recognisably Godiva.
  • Collaborate with Category and Commercialisation teams to integrate communication requirements into innovation and portfolio plans.
  • Provide local markets with activation guidance, localisation frameworks and launch readiness support.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with creative, content, PR and influencer agencies, including timelines, feedback and approvals.
  • Track campaign performance, communication effectiveness and asset utilisation, identifying opportunities for optimisation and continuous improvement.
  • Capture and share best practices and learnings across regions to improve marketing effectiveness and execution quality globally.

Essential

  • Experience in brand marketing, brand communications, campaign management or content development.
  • Proven experience managing agencies and external creative partners.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate across functions, regions and cultures.
  • Strong understanding of brand building principles, storytelling and integrated marketing communications.
  • Experience developing and deploying content across digital, social, CRM, ecommerce and retail channels.
  • Ability to translate strategy into execution through effective communication assets and campaigns.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand consistency and quality standards.
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of how communications contribute to brand growth and business performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive and resilient, with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign performance data and identify improvement opportunities.

Desirable

  • Experience working within premium, luxury, FMCG or consumer goods brands.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-market brand communications programmes.
  • Knowledge of creator, influencer and PR marketing programmes.
  • Experience developing global marketing toolkits, asset hierarchies and communication guidelines.
  • Understanding of ecommerce marketing and omnichannel customer journeys.
  • Experience supporting product innovation launches and go-to-market communications.
  • Familiarity with communication measurement frameworks and marketing effectiveness tools.
  • Experience managing content production and asset development processes.
  • Knowledge of localisation and market adaptation best practices.
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation with multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for premium consumer brands, food, gifting or luxury retail sectors.

What will the interview process be?

  • Initial Telephone call with Talent Acquisition
  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 90 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
