Godfrey Wilson is an award-winning charity-specialist practice in Bristol. We are an ethical and environmentally conscious employer, ranked #1 for overall service in the Charity Finance Magazine 2025 audit survey. Having built a reputation as a leading provider of audit and accountancy services to small and medium-sized charities, we now work with over 300 charities in Bristol and nationally. We're currently looking for new team members to join Godfrey Wilson as charity-specialist Trainee Auditors on a 3-year work-study programme to become ACA-qualified.
A good academic record - studying for the ACA qualification is challenging. We are looking for candidates with a good degree (2:1 or above), solid A-level results and a minimum of a Grade B/Grade 6 in GCSE Maths and English. A passion for charities is essential – it runs through everything we do. At Godfrey Wilson, an audit isn’t just about ticking boxes, it’s about using your skills to make a difference: strengthening governance, identifying efficiencies and challenging embedded practices. Your work will help our charity clients to grow and evolve and ultimately to become more effective. You need excellent attention to detail, be eager to learn, progress and take on responsibility and be a great problem solver. You will be in a client-facing role, so delivering a great client experience through exceptional written and verbal communication is key.
