Our client is a leading global consulting firm with a strong Financial Services practice that is looking or a Project Manager to be based in its Belfast office. This role will suit candidates with PM experience within a consulting firm with FS sector focus or FS business, including banking, capital markets, wealth management, asset management and / or asset servicing experience.
Responsibilities:
- Be involved in and project manage projects/workstreams across the end-to-end project lifecycle, from business case development to project mobilisation, execution, and close-out.
- Engage directly with senior client stakeholders, to drive project outcomes, whilst continuously improving governance processes and ways of working.
- Work with other project managers to explore specific solutions and cross stream deliverables and define the scope of all deliverables.
- Manage the delivery of complex multi-stream projects and workstreams in accordance with client Project Management Methodology leveraging the firm’s approaches and methods
- As an agile project manager, you will be responsible for leading or supporting the delivery of projects based on agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or traditional waterfall or hybrid approaches when required.
- Plan and manage projects, incl. definition of project scope, planning (critical path) and monitoring of delivery; organisation and leadership of governance meetings;
- Manage the resourcing and cost for your project in the context of broader programme where relevant.
- Identify, manage, and communicate risks and issues
- Monitor benefits realisation in the form of key outcome metrics.
To qualify for the role, you must have:
- 3+yrs experience in a project management role in financial services.
- Primary Degree.
- Experience of delivery of complex projects and strong presentation skills.
- Highly experienced in financial, stakeholder and people management.
- Experience of working on projects through the full delivery life cycle (from project concept/initiation to closing).
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and uncertainty.
- Project Management Certification and/or Agile certification desirable (e.g. PRINCE2, Scrum Master).
- Experience using project and portfolio management tools such as Clarity is preferable.
- Management Consulting experience is preferable.
