GP Veterinary Surgeon – Sole Charge

About the role

Join Goddard Veterinary Group at our Brixton London practice. The new team member will be confident in day‑to‑day GP sole charge practice life, working alongside a fantastic trainee nursing team who know the practice inside‑out.

Key responsibilities and schedule

  • Day‑to‑day GP sole charge practice duties, including first opinion consultations and routine surgeries.
  • Work 30–40 hours per week (your choice!) with a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 hospital Sunday rotation, and 1 bank holiday per year.
  • No on‑call requirements.
  • Leadership training provided; work closely with the RVN to ensure the practice runs smoothly.
  • Receive full clinical support from the 24‑hour Stone Lion Hospital in Wimbledon and regional management.

Location and support

The Brixton practice is situated near Streatham Hill and Brixton stations, a 20‑minute walk or 5‑minute cycle from the practice. Branches in Kennington and Stockwell are within easy reach, and Kennington offers ultrasound facilities.

Salary and benefits

The salary for this role inclusive of weekend rotation is £60,000 to £75,000 (FTE) depending on experience, with room for growth.

  • 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays

  • Up to £2,000 CPD budget each year plus up to 5 days paid CPD leave
