Our beautiful Chalfont St Peter practice in Buckinghamshire has the opportunity for a vet who is looking for a first opinion GP position, on a part‑time basis.
About your new role!
Your average 20.12 hourly week is inclusive of a 1:3 branch Saturday morning, and 1:8 hospital Sunday rotation. You will be rota ’d to 1 bank holiday per year in Mandeville Hospital.
There can be flexibility in how your days in the week look, for example a shorter Monday and full Wednesday (9am‑7pm) or full Wednesday and shorter Friday. You will be working alongside another experienced vet on both days, this is NOT a sole charge position during the week.
There are NO on‑call requirements.
Chalfont St Peter has 3 consult rooms, separate dog and cat wards and is in a peaceful, picturesque village location.
As well as being equipped with everything you would expect for a large branch, Chalfont also has ultrasound facilities.
The practice has very bonded clients, largely insured and for those invaluable breaks when the sun makes an appearance you have a huge garden and decked out area to have some “me” time.
You will be fully supported by two incredible long‑standing vets, an amazing senior RVN, experienced nursing and reception team and an invaluable regional manager who have all worked in/with the practice for years.
The Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt provides out of hours support for Chalfont. It has state‑of‑the‑art 24 hr facilities including CT, an excellent ultrasound, scopes, laparoscopic equipment, and an array of specialists.
Location wise, if you are looking to be within close proximity of London but for day‑to‑day life not in the middle of the hustle and bustle, Chalfont is perfect! It’s a quiet village with rural charm, yet easily accessible to city life, giving you the best of both worlds.
Being just a 5‑minute drive from Gerrards Cross train station, within 50 minutes you are in London Liverpool Street, where you can pick up numerous other lines to get you across the city.
What we offer you:
The salary band for this part‑time role salary is £22,635 to £30,683 (£45,000 to £61,000 FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
