Job Description
In this riverside London village nestled in Southwest London, home to the starting point of the annual Oxford-Cambridge Boat Race is our popular first opinion GP Putney clinic. The almost complete team are looking for a full-time Senior RVN to help assist our new Senior Vet with day-to-day practice life.
About your new role!
Our Putney practice location has a true London βvillageβ atmosphere, just a short walk from the River Thames, Putney High Street, and Putney Station.
Our Putney team includes 1 senior vet, 1 associate vet, and fantastic clinical support team who have a passion for building strong bonds with their established client base, so the team are looking for a Senior RVN to complete our perfect practice puzzle!
Being senior RVN, you will work closely with the senior vet to ensure the day to day running of the practice is maintained to a high standard, accountabilities ranging from diary management to equipment maintenance and team engagement.
You will have the full support from a dedicated regional manager, and OOH care is provided by our Stone Lion 24-hour hospital just a 15β30-minute drive away.

Your 40 hours (which can be across 4 days) is inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:10 Sunday rotation at the Stone Lion Hospital, plus 1 bank holiday per year at Stone Lion. There are NO on-call requirements.
As a senior branch RVN some of your duties will include:
β Responsible for the nursing team, ensuring the provision of a high quality and continually improving standards of nursing care.
β Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.
β Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care, comfort and welfare of all pets in our care.
β Utilise Schedule 3 skills, as directed.
β Ensure all diagnostic, surgical and medical equipment and instruments are serviced as required, maintained well and in full working order.
β Ensure that a weekly audit of Controlled Drugs is carried out in accordance with the prescribed protocol.
β Responsible for staff working on reception, ensuring a high and improving standard of client care by means of excellent communication and service at all times.
β Manage the daily operation of the reception area and ensure the friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.
β Support student nurses as a clinical supervisor
Leadership training is provided for new senior colleagues to assist your transition into a new senior position.

The salary band for this full-time 40 hourly week role is Β£34,000 to Β£39,000 depending on experience while allowing room for growth within the role.
