Hello Hackney! This buzzing practice in the heart of East London has a real gem of a role for an RVN looking for part-time hours, flexibility but most importantly stability.

The salary band for this part-time role inclusive of weekend hours is £20,460 to £23,100 (£31,000 to £35,000 FTE) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.

This role could be ideal for an RVN who is looking to move away from locum work to a establish the benefits of a permanent role, while leaving plenty of room for flexibility.

About the role

Our Hackney practice is one of our busiest in the group, and we now work closely with our consult only clinic in Highbury to support them with their surgical cases. This busy and diverse “mini hub” is looking at further investment in diagnostic imaging facilities, to help support our expansive and varied caseload.

The practice boasts two consulting rooms, a large prep and theatre area, separate cat and dog wards and a well utilised lab area.

This part-time role averages to 26.4 hours per week inclusive of a 1:4 branch Saturday and 1:20 hospital Sunday rotation. In addition to 1 bank holiday per year at Wanstead Hospital.

Your rota will be 8 hours per day on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, giving you the rest of the week for down time, or allowing you to explore any hobbies!

You will be working alongside a large support team of vets, a senior RVN, students and trainee nurses. The team thrive on their unique dynamic for laughter and pulling together on those challenging days and utilising the chocolate corner when needed!

Hackney is supported by Wanstead 24-hour Veterinary Hospital, where your patients will receive impeccable OOH and specialist care when needed.

You will also be fully supported by a dedicated regional manager.
