Our team in Wembley have gone from strength to strength over the past 2 years. With client numbers booming we now require an additional RVN on a part-time basis to help support with the growing workload.The Wembley clinic has been on this site for several decades and has a long-standing and loyal client base. It has continued to grow in popularity no more so than after our fantastic senior vet started, and they are now in need of an additional RVN.This is a 2-day week role on Mondays and Tuesdays (8-hour shifts) and includes a 1:3 Saturday rotation between Wembley and Harrow, and 1:10 Sundays working alongside the Mandeville Hospital team, plus 1 bank holiday per year.There are NO on-call requirements for this position.This position would also suit a newly qualified RVN due to the support in the practice.Responsibilities Ensure the provision of a high quality and continually improving standard of nursing care.Assist the veterinary surgeon in theatre and during consultations, as and when required.Maintain comprehensive patient hospitalisation records.Ensure a high standard of comfort and welfare for all pets in our care.Complete and maintain accurate records of hospitalised patients.Maintain a respectful and collaborative team environment.Ensure equipment is cleaned, packed, sterilised and stored correctly when not in use.Maintain adequate stocks of drugs, diets and consumables and place orders with our suppliers to required levels as necessary.Assist with the induction of new staff and their subsequent training.Provide reception duties, as required, ensuring a friendly and efficient handling of clients and their pets, in person, by email and over the telephone.Support student nurses and VCA’s as a clinical supervisor.The practice itself boasts 2 consult rooms, a theatre and large separate prep room, digital and dental x-ray and ultrasound facilities. The practice also comes with a large back garden ideal for when the sun makes an appearance and you can retreat outside for your lunch.You will be supported by an incredibly experienced team including our senior vet Triona, Jacky our part-time RVN who has an incredible 38 years of service, Robert our VCA who has worked at the clinic for many years, and an additional training VCA who will support you every step of the way. We are also recruiting for an additional part-time vet due to increased workload.Goddard Mandeville Veterinary Hospital in Northolt provides Wembley with its OOH care and support with any complex cases you may need to refer.Location wise you have plenty of options, with Preston Road station on the Metropolitan line being a mere 4-minute walk from the practice, or North Wembley on the Bakerloo line and Wembley Park on the Jubilee line being a 20-minute walk from practice.If driving, there is ample off-street parking.If you wished to venture out of the area the stunning area of Kew is a 30-minute drive from Wembley, and you can be in famous Richmond Park walking amongst the deer within the hour.This is a great opportunity to join a growing team on a part-time basis, that has ample support, and will give you the opportunity to delve into other passions you may have in your spare time.Benefits Our RVN salary band is £32,000 to £36,000 per annum (full-time equivalent based on 40 hours per week and would be pro rata’ d down to part-time hours) depending on experience and allowing room for growth within the role.6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata)CPD budget every year plus up to 2 days’ paid CPD leavePaid 30-minute lunch breaksThe opportunity to join our private medical healthcare scheme at a reduced rate, plus medical cashback incentives
