Fancy a veterinary nursing role where every day is a little different?
We're looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our busy 24-hour hospital in Northolt on a maternity cover basis, working 40 hours per week across 5 days.
You'll need to be flexible and happy working a variety of daytime shift patterns, including weekend cover. You'll work approximately 1 in 4 weekends and 1 Bank Holiday, giving you the opportunity to properly enjoy your time away from the hospital too.
The role
You'll work alongside our experienced veterinary surgeons and nursing team, caring for hospitalised patients, supporting surgical procedures and nursing a varied caseload.
We're looking for an RVN who:
- Has experience working in a busy clinical or hospital environment
- Is confident assisting with surgery and anaesthesia
- Is comfortable caring for hospitalised, emergency and critical patients
- Can adapt to different shift patterns and enjoy the variety that hospital nursing brings
- Works well as part of a supportive and experienced team
- Is confident working independently while knowing when to ask for support
Mandeville is a busy 24-hour hospital with an experienced clinical team and excellent diagnostic and surgical facilities.
We have advanced diagnostic support including CT and ultrasound, alongside a strong medical team and experienced surgeons who routinely undertake advanced orthopaedic, soft tissue and minimally invasive procedures.
And because nobody goes into veterinary nursing because they enjoy doing exactly the same thing every day, you'll never quite know what will walk, limp, wobble or occasionally be carried through the door next.
What we offer
Our RVN salary band is £32,000 to £36,000 FTE depending on experience.
