About your new role!
Our maintenance team plays an integral part in the running of our practices and is responsible for all aspects of keeping our premises upheld to the highest standards and safety.
- General maintenance, repair, and upkeep of our veterinary practices, internally and externally.
- Detecting and reporting any defects or damage.
- Completing all tasks as delegated in a timely manner.
- Complying with industry standards and safety regulations of work.
- Always observing the company’s health and safety policy on site and reporting any concerns.
- liaising with external contractors.
- Working hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional overtime to finish a job.
Who we are looking for
- Clean driving licence is essential (vehicle will be provided).
- Multi‑skilled maintenance person.
- Experience in general carpentry, plastering, painting & decorating.
- Must hold at least one trade skill qualification.
- Plumbing experience would be an advantage, but not essential.
- Experience installing kitchens and bathrooms is preferred.
- Ability to effectively manage time and meet all specified deadlines.
- Good team worker with the ability to coordinate work with fellow workers.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Being an animal lover would help.
What we offer
- Salary band: £32,240 to £33,425, dependant on prior experience.
- 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays (pro rata).
- Company vehicle and fuel card.
- Paid lunch breaks.
