We're looking for an organised, proactive and solutions-focused Operations Officer to join our Head Office team at Claygate House, Woodford Green, on a 15-month maternity cover contract, ideally starting in January 2027. This is a varied role supporting day-to-day operations. From coordinating operational requests and managing complaints administration to supporting our HR, Health & Safety and Regional Management teams, you'll play an important part in helping things run smoothly.
We're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently, can confidently manage competing priorities and enjoys finding solutions rather than waiting to be told what to do. You'll be based at Claygate House, with the option to work remotely for up to two days per week if preferred.
What will you be doing?
- Acting as a key point of contact for operational queries and support requests from our veterinary practices.
- Supporting the HR Manager with the administration of HR processes.
- Providing administrative support to the Health & Safety Manager and helping keep processes organised and up to date.
- Assisting the Regional Management Team with operational administration and day-to-day requirements.
- Supporting credit control and accounts payable processes when required.
- Administering the complaints process and coordinating responses with relevant colleagues.
- Liaising with suppliers and contractors to coordinate the maintenance and purchase of clinical equipment.
What are we looking for?
We're keen to hear from someone with experience in operations support, executive assistance or a similar coordination role who enjoys taking ownership and keeping things organised. Experience supporting senior managers, coordinating operational processes or working across multiple teams would be particularly useful.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Strong organisational and administrative skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- The confidence to work independently, use your initiative and solve problems.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a busy environment.
- Clear communication skills and the confidence to build relationships with colleagues at different levels of the business.
- A flexible, practical approach and a willingness to get involved wherever support is needed.
- Good IT skills and confidence working with different systems and processes.
What's in it for you?
Salary: £35,000–£40,000, depending on experience. Contract: 15-month maternity cover, ideally commencing January 2027. Hybrid working: Based at Claygate House, Woodford Green, with the option to work remotely for up to two days per week.
Think this could be your next move? If you're an organised problem-solver who enjoys making things happen behind the scenes, building relationships and helping a business run effectively, we'd love to hear from you.
