Welcome to Kingston, a historic market town looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our established GP practice situated in a beautiful period building, complete with dental and digital x-ray.

You will be fully supported by an experienced RVN and a passionate trainee nurse, as well as your regional manager who is integral in the running of the region and there for additional support. Although a sole charge position, the caseload is perfectly manageable for a GP first opinion vet to step into. You will be able to comfortably balance your morning consultations, perform routine surgeries during the day, catch up on admin, and then round up with evening consults. You will also have the support of a highly experienced regional head vet for any clinical queries or concerns you may have.

Kingston is supported by Stone Lion 24-hour hospital in Wimbledon for more complex cases or out-of-hours care your patients may need. This 4-day week role involves a 1:4 Saturday rotation and 1:10 Sundays at Stone Lion Hospital. You will be rota'd to up to 2 bank holidays per year in Stone Lion.

The practice is just a 6-minute walk from Norbiton train station, and within a 50-minute journey, you are in central London. You are also a 10-minute walk from the famous picturesque Richmond Park and the River Thames. Kingston upon Thames really is a gem for anyone thinking about relocating.

Here is what we offer you:

  • The salary for this sole charge position inclusive of weekend rotation is £60,000 to £75,000 FTE depending on prior experience and allowing room for growth within the role.
  • 6.6 weeks annual leave including bank holidays.
