Learning Support Administrator Location: Godalming College,Tuesley Lane, Godalming, Surrey GU7 1RS Salary: The full-time annual salary for the role is £26,521 to £28,996 inclusive of the fringe allowance. The actual annual salary, based on 0.76 FTE (5 days/ 32.5 hours a week) is £20,262 to £22,152 per annum inclusive of fringe allowance. Contract:Permanent, Term Time only (39 weeks a year)Monday Friday 8.45am 4.15pm (32.5 hours per week) Closing date:Monday 16thDecember 2024 at 9am. Interviews are planned for week commencing16thDecember 2024. We are seeking a dedicated and organised Learning Support Administrator to join our Learning Support team. This role is crucial in providing administrative support for our Learning Support Manager (SENDCO) who supports students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCP), and coordinating Exam Access Arrangements by providing administrative support for our specialist assessors. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting students with learning needs and ensuring they receive the necessary accommodations to succeed. The Learning Support Administrator would ideally have previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within an educational setting. Learning Support Administrator Responsibilities: Access Arrangements To manage and monitor systems for the Access Arrangement process, from initial referral or enrolment to completed JCQ application along with required paperwork, student files and evidence To process online applications for all students who are eligible for access arrangements, ensuring that JCQ deadlines are met To collate and coordinate the completion of all paperwork, including documentation and evidence for students who are eligible for access arrangements. Keep internal databases updated with any changes/communication from stakeholders Organise centre delegated access arrangements and disperse to the Examination Department during examinations To request evidence for the processing of Access Arrangements from schools (Form 8s and associated documents) and upload to CIS, informing the assessors/Learning Support manager as required Organise students for initial screening, for example Lucid To liaise with departments, students, parents, assessors and any other stakeholders to ensure that access arrangements or other reasonable adjustments are in place by relevant deadlines To keep the assessors up to date with policies and regulations related to access arrangements and to provide specialist advice. For example, regarding specific medical diagnoses To implement appropriate personal, technical and organisational measures to ensure that data processing is performed in accordance with GDPR including chasing signatures from students To assist the Line Manager in minuting access arrangement meetings and preparing for any parental meetings or dealing with any parental concerns/complaints in relation to Exam Access Arrangements Collate exam entrance lists and share as required with the Line Manager and assessors, ensuring that all deadlines for processing Access Arrangements are met To assist the Line Manager in providing advice and guidance to teaching staff, to evidence the normal way of working in the classroom in order to establish information needed for Exam Access Arrangements To determine the need for specialist equipment and resources for Exam Access Arrangements To ensure that the assessments used are current and up to date and research any new SASC approved assessment materials Respond to JCQ changes and update practice accordingly EHCP administration To manage and maintain provision maps/student summaries for students with EHCPs To coordinate Annual Review meetings for students with EHCPs liaising with all stakeholders Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all EHCPs, including documentation of meetings, assessments, and reviews. To act as the main point of contact for parents, carers, and external agencies regarding EHCPs, providing clear and timely communication to all stakeholders. Assist the SENCO and other staff in preparing for EHCP meetings, including gathering necessary documentation and reports, that may include student reviews from teachers or medical documents. Use school management systems to track and monitor the progress of students with EHCPs and generate reports as required. General To work as a member of the Learning Support Team, adopting a flexible and adaptable approach, assisting the team if needed and as directed by the Line Manager To attend regular meetings as part of the Learning Support Team To take minutes of department meetings To attend meetings with the Examinations Officer and Line Manager as required To be willing to undertake regular training and development relating to the role To participate in college line management and appraisal systems To demonstrate an awareness and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety and safeguarding To carry out other tasks as may be reasonably required by Line Manager To carry out other reasonable requests as may be required from time to time by the Principal JBRP1_UKTJ
