We are a small, growing private‑pay domiciliary care agency providing high‑quality, person‑centred care across West and North‑West London. We are seeking an experienced Part‑Time Registered Manager to provide regulatory leadership, governance, and quality oversight while working closely with the owner/director, who leads day‑to‑day operations and business development. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Manager looking for reduced hours, portfolio work, or a quality‑focused leadership role without full‑time pressure. This is a genuine leadership position, not a paper or inspection‑only role.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the domiciliary care service
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014
- Maintain inspection readiness and oversee evidence aligned to CQC KLOEs
- Submit statutory notifications and manage incidents appropriately
- Lead audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement actions
Care Quality & Safeguarding
- Oversee care plans, risk assessments, reviews, and outcomes
- Lead safeguarding concerns, investigations, and learning
- Ensure duty of candour and effective complaints handling
Leadership & Oversight
- Provide professional leadership to care staff and senior team members
- Support supervisions, appraisals, and performance oversight
- Work collaboratively with the owner/director in a hands‑on, transparent way
- Offer guidance on best practice as the service grows
Skills & Experience
- Eligible and willing to be registered with CQC
- Previous Registered Manager experience, or strong Deputy Manager experience with proven readiness to step up
- Strong working knowledge of domiciliary care regulations and inspections
- Experience managing audits, safeguarding, incidents, and complaints
- Confident, pragmatic leadership style
- Experience in private‑pay domiciliary care
- Experience supporting early‑stage or growing services
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
Working Pattern
- Availability for occasional regulatory matters outside core hours (rare, planned)
