You\’ll hit the ground running with pre-identified opportunities, working closely with Partner Account Managers to convert potential into tangible growth.
What excites you
- Commercial Opportunity Execution: Drive the identification, qualification, and conversion of new business opportunities from existing partner relationships, focusing on both the volume and size of deals.

- Relationship Building: Develop strong, lasting relationships with key stakeholders across multiple partner businesses, acting as the primary commercial point of contact for new initiatives.
- Commercial Catalyst: Take the lead in arranging and executing partner-facing initiatives, such as \”lunch and learn\” sessions, webinars, and joint outreach campaigns, ensuring timely execution and clear commercial objectives.
- Strategic Partner Identification: Continuously assess partners for deeper strategic potential, flagging those that could evolve into more significant collaborations in the future.
- Collaboration: Work closely with co-marketing, wider analysis, and project management teams to ensure seamless execution of partner initiatives and effective communication of value.
- Flexibility in Focus: While your initial focus will be on driving new business from scale base partners, this role may involve pivoting to address other critical business needs or opportunities for a period, before returning to partner development.
- Reporting & Insights: Track and report on partner engagement activities, pipeline development, and new business wins, providing insights into partner performance and areas for optimisation.
What excites us
- Proven Commercial Acumen & Execution: Demonstrated success in identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities, preferably within a partner or B2B sales environment. You\’re ready to act on pre-identified insights.
- Exceptional Relationship Builder: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport and trust quickly with diverse stakeholders.
- Proactive & Self-Starter: Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and take initiative to drive results and organize complex engagements.
- Strategic Thinker with a Commercial Lens: Able to understand partner motivations, position GoCardless effectively, and identify pathways to commercial success, even with limited initial information.
- Organized & Results-Oriented: Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely execution of initiatives.
- Adaptability & Flexibility: Comfortable navigating dynamic environments and shifting priorities as business needs evolve.
- Understanding of Payments/Fintech: (Optional, but could be a plus) Familiarity with the payments industry or SaaS business models.
