The role
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join GoCardless in our London office as an Engineering Manager. In this role you will:
- Lead talented and creative engineers in the Growth Group to build features and experiments to drive customer acquisition, engagement, and retention.
- Work closely with Product Managers and Product Designers to translate growth goals into actionable technical roadmaps.
- Partner with Growth Marketing to define and execute growth initiatives.
- Push for exceptionally high-quality engineering work whilst moving at a fast pace.

- Full-stack engineering background - whilst this role is not hands on, we are after someone who is familiar with full-stack technologies and practices to lead teams to build reliable, well-tested systems.
- Previous experience leading engineering teams and readiness to take on challenging teams.
- Enthusiasm about working in a strong culture of experimentation, testing and learning to help us in experimenting ways to grow our product!
- Someone excited about supporting and growing a group of engineers, helping them become the best engineers they can be.
- Somebody able to effectively communicate - mainly technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaboration and cross-functional work - we have Product Managers and Product Designers as part of our team, and work closely with BI Analysts and Growth Marketers, as well as other commercial teams across the business.

Base salary range: £101,600 - £152,400. Base salary ranges are based on role, job level, location, and market data. Please note that whilst we strive to offer competitive compensation, our approach is to pay between the minimum and the mid-point of the pay range until performance can be assessed in role. Offers will take into account level of experience, interview assessment, budgets and parity between you and fellow employees at GoCardless doing similar work.
