We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled NVH Vehicle Chamber Technician to join our cutting-edge NVH Laboratory Operations team. NVH (Noise, Vibration, Harshness) also known as Refinement is a core attribute that defines the quality and comfort of our premium vehicles. You will be an essential part of the Vehicle Semi-Anechoic Chamber (VSAC) team, responsible for preparing, operating, and de-prepping vehicles in one of the most critical testing environments in our development process. This is a hands-on role that directly supports class-leading refinement in both combustion and electric vehicles. This opportunity involves dynamic and static testing at both system and full-vehicle levels and may require working on a double day shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicles and test environments, including full instrumentation setups.
- Secure vehicles to chassis dynamometers, including wheel changes and safety system fittings.
- Inspect vehicle components and carry out hygiene/build checks.
- Remove and refit vehicle trims and mechanical components.
- Fabricate NVH test parts using specialist acoustic materials.
- Fit and operate NVH test equipment.
- Drive vehicles during NVH testing procedures.
- Support facility engineers during data acquisition and equipment positioning.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workspace in line with 5S and safety protocols.
- Actively participate in training, safety procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives.

About You
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant automotive or mechanical discipline.
- Strong understanding of ICE and EV systems.
- Proficient in mechanical and trim removal/refit procedures.
- Experience working with NVH acoustic materials (foam, heavy layers, etc.).
- Skilled in the use and installation of test equipment and instrumentation.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and maintain high standards.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and Risk Assessments.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in NVH testing environments.
- Familiarity with noise and vibration measurement tools.
- Experience working in rig or lab-based automotive environments.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Teams and Office applications.
