Our client is looking to appoint an experienced Staff Nurse at their Care Home based in East Kilbride. You will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their well-being, and assisting in their medical needs. Your expertise and dedications to nursing will contribute to the overall health and happiness of the residents. to play a crucial role in supporting the Care Home Manager with day-to-day operations.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for residents.
- Administer medications and treatments, adhering to medical prescriptions and care plans.
- Complete physical/ psychological assessments of new residents on admission.
- Monitor and record vital signs, health status, and changes in resident’s conditions.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and update individual care plans.
- Provide emotional support and comfort to residents and families.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
- Maintain accurate medical records and reports.
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations.
- Stay updated on current medical practices.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications Required:
- Registered Nurse with active NMC nursing pin.
- Proven experience as a registered nurse in a care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and adapt to changing healthcare needs.
- Compassion, empathy, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
- Strong knowledge of care home regulations, compliance, and best practice, including care inspectorate standards.
