Overview
As the Social & Influencer Manager, you will be at the heart of how GOAT Interactive shows up across Africa, building vibrant communities, activating our Proudly African positioning, and driving engagement through authentic, creative, and community-led social media and influencer activity. You will be responsible for managing and executing social and influencer strategies that bring our brand to life across our African markets. Working closely with partners, creators, and ambassadors, you will deliver content and campaigns that celebrate African pride, culture, talent, and sporting passion. This is a hands-on role for someone with proven experience in social and influencer marketing. Someone who can spot trends, build meaningful relationships with creators, and create content that resonates locally while driving pan-African impact. You will embrace African culture, football, and entertainment, finding new ways to reward, inspire, and grow our community.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media Management
- Execute social strategies that grow engagement, strengthen community, and build brand love across key African markets.
- Manage day-to-day content publishing, ensuring activity is authentic, relevant, and culturally connected.
- Tailor content for each platform (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube) and market.
Influencer Marketing & Partnerships
- Identify, onboard, and manage relationships with relevant influencers, creators, and ambassadors across Africa.
- Maximise our partnerships (athletes, sports events, TV shows) by curating and amplifying content across social.
- Work with existing high-profile ambassadors to create standout campaigns that drive intrigue and engagement.
Campaign Execution
- Plan and activate content and influencer-led campaigns around major cultural and sporting moments (e.g., AFCON).
- Deliver activations that celebrate our community and reward our audience.
- Explore opportunities with podcasts, creators, and community groups to reach niche, passionate audiences.
Community Management
- Engage with audiences across platforms, building trusted relationships and celebrating fan voices.
- Manage day-to-day responses and conversations, ensuring we are approachable, entertaining, and proudly African.
- Amplify user-generated content and celebrate the stories of our community.
Measurement & Reporting
- Track and report on performance, ensuring campaigns deliver measurable results.
- Use analytics to inform optimisation and future planning.
- Deliver insights back to the wider marketing team to shape cross-channel campaigns.
Skills & Experience
- 5+ years’ experience in social media and influencer marketing, ideally in sports, gaming, entertainment, or other culturally relevant sectors.
- Strong knowledge of influencer marketing, including sourcing, negotiating, and managing creators.
- Proven experience activating creative social campaigns that drive measurable engagement and community growth.
- Experience working across multiple markets with cultural nuance.
- Strong understanding of platform features, algorithms, and trends.
- Analytical mindset with experience using social and influencer reporting tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a flair for authentic, culturally relevant storytelling.
- Ability to juggle multiple campaigns, deadlines, and partnerships in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of betting, gaming, or another regulated industry (desirable but not essential).
