Goals is the premier five-a-side football centre operator in the UK, offering state-of-the-art facilities nationwide. We pride ourselves on exceeding customer expectations through exceptional service delivery and high-quality facilities. This role is primarily a Team Member position with additional Shift Supervisor responsibilities undertaken when management cover is required. Shift Supervisor duties are undertaken on an ad-hoc basis and are not a full-time supervisory role.

Overview of Main Duties and Responsibilities

The post holder will carry out Team Member duties as the core role, supporting the day-to-day operation of the club across reception and bar functions. Additionally, the post holder will step into the Shift Supervisor role when required, providing senior cover in the absence of a Manager and ensuring operational standards are maintained.

Team Member Duties (Primary Responsibilities)

  • Deliver a high standard of customer service across the club.
  • Provide a professional and welcoming front-of-house service.
  • Manage bookings, enquiries and payments accurately.
  • Handle face-to-face and telephone sales.
  • Operate tills and booking systems confidently.
  • Work efficiently in a busy bar environment.
  • Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness and presentation.
  • Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits and increased spend.
  • Handle cash and card transactions responsibly.
  • Support club promotions and initiatives.

As part of the service requirements, you will be expected to work shifts that include evenings and weekends. Because bar duties form part of this role, applicants must be 18+.

Shift Supervisor Duties (Additional Responsibility)

  • Act as the senior person on duty in the absence of a Manager.
  • Ensure service, safety and operational standards are maintained.
  • Supervise and support Team Members on shift.
  • Deal with escalated customer issues appropriately.
  • Carry out opening and closing procedures when required.
  • Complete basic administrative and cash-handling tasks.
  • Communicate effectively with the Management Team regarding any issues arising during the shift.

  • Computer literate, including basic Word and Excel.
