About the role

We’re looking for an Account Executive to join our Commercial Team. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about podcasts and keen to develop a career in commercial partnerships. You’ll play a key role on the business development side of the team, identifying brand opportunities, researching potential sponsors, and helping Goalhanger secure new clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Research and identify brands that align with Goalhanger’s shows across sport, history, business, and entertainment.
  • Build a list of potential brand partners and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Use tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other research platforms to prospect potential clients, identify key decision-makers, and expand Goalhanger’s client network.
  • Reach out to potential clients and co-ordinate meetings with the Commercial Team.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends, brand marketing strategies, and competitor activity.
  • Work closely with the Commercial Team to support new business opportunities.
  • Keep accurate records of leads, outreach, and meetings in CRM tools.

Skills & Experience

  • A passion for podcasts, digital media, and storytelling.
  • Strong research skills - whether from university, work, or personal projects.
  • Strong commercial awareness and instincts.
  • A curious and proactive approach, with a keen eye for spotting brand opportunities.
  • Confident communicator with good written and verbal skills.
  • Experience using LinkedIn or similar platforms for research and networking.
  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple research projects.
  • Ambitious, eager to learn, and excited to work in a fast-paced environment.
