We are expanding our engineering team and are seeking a passionate **.NET Developer** with a strong grasp of modern architectural patterns and testing practices.

What You’ll Do

You’ll be part of a high-performing, multidisciplinary team delivering mission-critical platforms using clean, well-tested code. Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and building .NET-based services using CQRS and event-driven architecture
• Developing secure and scalable applications using Razor Pages, Entity Framework (ORM) and modern backend principles
• Writing robust, maintainable code aligned to SOLID, DRY, and clean architecture principles
• Writing high-quality TDD/BDD tests to support behaviour-led development and automated pipelines
• Participating in code reviews, pair programming, and architecture discussions
• Working collaboratively in Agile teams, often alongside government or regulated sector clients
• Creating or consuming APIs and integrating third-party services

Skills and Experience – Must Have

• Strong experience in **.NET Core / ASP.NET Core
• Solid understanding and hands-on application of CQRS and event-driven design patterns
• Demonstrated ability to write and maintain TDD (xUnit/nUnit) and BDD (SpecFlow or similar) tests
• Experience building apps using Razor Pages, Entity Framework, and SQL/PostgreSQL
• Excellent grasp of object-oriented principles, SOLID, DRY, and domain-driven design
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps workflows
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills

Desirable (Bonus Points)

• Experience working on UK government digital services, ideally aligning to GDS and CDDO standards
• Familiarity with Umbraco CMS or content management workflows in .NET
• Understanding of infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform, ARM) or cloud platforms like Azure/AWS
• Exposure to distributed messaging patterns (e.g. using SQS, Kafka, or Azure Service Bus)
