In this role, you’ll help clients prepare for and achieve Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus certification. You’ll conduct readiness reviews, perform technical validation, and provide clear, actionable advice to help organisations strengthen their defences and demonstrate compliance. This is an ideal opportunity for a security professional with a background in penetration testing or technical assurance who wants to move into a client‑facing cyber assurance and audit role.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Cyber Essentials readiness assessments and support full Cyber Essentials Plus engagements.
- Guide clients through the certification process, helping them identify and close any compliance gaps.
- Perform technical verification and light penetration testing to validate controls during assessments.
- Produce clear, concise, and actionable audit reports.
- Collaborate with the client’s wider Cyber team to enhance our assurance offerings.
- Progress towards becoming an accredited Cyber Essentials Plus Lead Assessor.
- Experienced in technical cyber security or assurance roles.
- Confident communicating with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Analytical, detail‑oriented, and able to turn findings into practical guidance.
- Passionate about helping organisations improve their security posture.
- Based in the UK and eligible for security clearance (BPSS or higher).
You must already hold at least one of the IASME‑recognised qualifications listed below:
- CREST Registered Penetration Tester
- CREST Certified Infrastructure Tester
- Cyber Scheme Team Member (CSTM)
- EC‑Council Certified Security Analyst (ECSA): Penetration Testing Practical
- Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)
- Practitioner, Principal, or Chartered Security Tester (UK Cyber Security Council)
