A role is available to support safety, health, environment and quality across fibre build teams. The work will cover two businesses in the Southwest and South Wales.
The role will help shape a positive culture, support safe ways of working, reduce harm, support better health, prevent damage to services, and support safer driving.
The role will guide how teams build networks, support a right-first-time approach, help fix problems, and support better ways of working to help teams improve over time.
The role will support care for the environment, help reduce carbon, support better performance, raise standards, control risk, and introduce better ways of working.
The role will support safe work near homes and businesses, manage risk, support the right controls, and help protect people and property.
A NEBOSH qualification is needed. Experience in telecoms or utilities is required.
What you’ll bring:
- A strong background in health, safety, environment and quality.
- Several years of experience in telecoms or utilities.
- Understanding of how to manage risk and support safe ways of working.
- Experience working with teams to help them improve their work processes.
- A NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate; working towards a NEBOSH Diploma is a plus.
- A Certified Member of IOSH or working towards this; aiming for Chartered Membership or holding an equivalent grade with another professional body.
- At least seven years of experience after gaining your health and safety qualification.
- Experience in building knowledge and applying it in real settings.
- Ability to support others and help them follow the right steps.
