We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Design Engineer to join our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent engineering graduate with experience using Autodesk Inventor and working with metal components or fabrication processes. The successful candidate will support the design and development of engineered products, create detailed manufacturing drawings, and assist in bringing concepts through to production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce 2D and 3D CAD designs using Autodesk Inventor
  • Create detailed engineering and manufacturing drawings
  • Assist in the design and development of metal fabricated and machined components
  • Support prototype development and product testing activities
  • Work closely with production and fabrication teams to ensure designs are manufacturable
  • Modify and improve existing designs based on project requirements
  • Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation
  • Ensure designs comply with company and industry standards
  • Participate in design reviews and engineering meetings

Requirements

Essential

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar
  • Experience using Autodesk Inventor software
  • Understanding of metal fabrication, sheet metal, or machined components
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
