A role is available to support safety, health, environment and quality across fibre build teams. The work will cover two businesses in the Southwest and South Wales. The role will help shape a positive culture, support safe ways of working, reduce harm, support better health, prevent damage to services, and support safer driving.
The role will guide how teams build networks, support a right-first-time approach, help fix problems, and support better ways of working. It will help teams improve over time and support care for the environment, reduce carbon, improve performance, raise standards, control risk, and introduce better ways of working.
The role will support safe work near homes and businesses, manage risk, support the right controls, and help protect people and property.
A NEBOSH qualification is needed. Experience in Telecoms or Utilities is required.
What you’ll bring:
- You will bring a strong background in health, safety, environment and quality.
- You will have worked in this field for several years and gained experience in telecoms or utilities.
- You will understand how to manage risk and support safe ways of working.
- You will be used to working with teams and helping them improve how they work.
- You will hold a NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate and may be working towards a NEBOSH Diploma.
- You may also hold a management qualification.
- You will be a Certified Member of IOSH or working towards this, and may be aiming for Chartered Membership or hold an equivalent grade with another professional body.
- You will have at least seven years of experience after gaining your health and safety qualification, using this time to build your knowledge and apply it in real settings.
- You will understand how to support others and help them follow the right steps.
