Successful candidates will join our PR & Content department, which is a union of digital PR specialists and talented copywriters. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team where you can develop your skills as a multi-skilled marketer, mastering SEO techniques, content strategy, and digital PR.
Within this close-knit team, you’ll work on a range of client campaigns spanning many industries, delivering exceptional results within allocated hours per client. You'll be responsible for developing and executing effective link building strategies via digital PR and creating engaging onsite content to improve our clients' SEO performance.
Responsibilities
- Create compelling and engaging content for a variety of channels, including press releases, blog posts, thought leadership articles, and website content.
- Conduct keyword research and SEO optimise website content accordingly.
- Develop content strategies for both onsite and offsite purposes, bringing new ideas and concepts to the table.
- Build media lists, ensuring alignment with the press release topic or client campaign.
- Distribute press releases and conduct thorough follow-ups.
- Proactively pitch stories and press releases to relevant media contacts.
- Create yearly calendars, such as awareness days, key national events and awards.
- Monitor media coverage, track metrics, and provide regular reports on the impact of our communications efforts.
- Create Google Alerts for relevant keywords based on the client’s industry and stay updated on mentions, trends, and competitor activity that may inform ongoing PR efforts.
- Monitor daily news and media for industry news, trending topics, and relevant developments.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with journalists and media outlets to secure future coverage.
- Provide constructive feedback on work created by peers.
Desired Skills & Requirements
You must be able to transform the boring into the brilliant, be a master researcher, be able to adapt your tone, and have a keen eye for weeding out grammar and spelling mistakes. Attention to detail is an absolute must.
We’re looking for:
- 1-2 years or more of relevant work experience, working either in-house or agency side (SEO experience a bonus, but not essential).
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Proven ability to write effectively with minimal editing required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively manage client communication and engage with and persuade journalists.
- Ability to pitch creative ideas effectively to colleagues, clients, and journalists.
- Ability to work proactively and independently, driving projects forward with minimal direction.
- Proven track record of successful deliveries with deadlines.
- Strong interest in marketing and PR.
- Experience using tools like Asana, Ahrefs, Google Drive, Roxhill, ResponseSource, Google Trends, Buzzsumo etc. (not essential, but prior experience is a bonus)
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, small business setting or collaborative newsroom will serve you particularly well in what is a unique digital agency.
Location
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK and able to work from our office in London every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
