As a Site Manager, you will manage the Operational Teams in the successful delivery of the ENW Excavate and Lay contract in the North West. The Site Manager will provide supervision to those teams under their jurisdiction, from project handover through to project completion in an effective and efficient manner. Success will be measured against our 3 imperatives: HSEQ performance, programme delivery and outstanding customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise the delivery teams during the works including site set up, excavation, backfill and reinstatement and site completion.
  • Attend all sites to disseminate the Construction Phase Plan information, including all RAMS, with regards setting up of the site and to brief the team leader on their responsibilities to ensure that the works carried out on the Network comply with the relevant statutory requirements (CDM) and ENW standards and procedures.
  • Supervise the opening and closing of street works permits in accordance with NRSWA including the management of agreed Traffic Management and Permit Conditions.
  • Ensure that all the client and operational requirements are met in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Complete and record daily measures of works complete to submit for weekly payments.
  • Carry out tool box talks to all site personnel and record.
  • Liaison with Traffic Management department and local authorities to pre plan works to minimise disruption.
  • Provide a positive and innovative input into the team, through provision of solutions to problems and embracing change.
  • Promote the BE:SAFE culture and ensure that any safety issues are reported in line with company procedures.

  • NRSWA 1991 (Supervisor)
  • EFAW
  • IOSH or SMSTS (preferred)
  • Trench Support/Deep Excavation (preferred)
