With a client base including Anglian Water, @one Alliance, IWS Highways England, tRIIO and British Sugar, Claret Civil Engineering, a part of the Network Plus Group, is synonymous with the highest standards of Health and Safety, quality, service and flexibility, with an established track record for delivering our projects on programme and within budget. We are looking for a HSEQ Coordinator to join our team in Bury St Edmunds. This is a 12-month fixed term contract role for 12 months. There is potential for this role to become permanent after that.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining records using both digital and clerical systems
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) procurement, including consideration of innovation and new products
- Co-ordination of calibration and portable appliance testing across the business
- Risk Assessment/COSHH Assessments
- Maintaining Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome (HAVS) records
- Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessments
- Distributing HSEQ Communications including Safety Alerts, Stand Downs, Toolbox Talks
- Maintaining Accident and Incident Records
- Updating Policies and Procedures
- Other documentation (usually produced by site teams)
- Filing both digital and clerical records
- Scanning and copying of documents for filing
- Putting together Site Packs
- Collating information for the SHEQ Team
- Receive and distribute PPE from suppliers
- Other general administrative duties as requested
Experience and Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel and Word
- The ability to work in a small team and independently
- Good communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work on your own initiative and to take ownership of tasks
This role will have scope for development as training will be provided, allowing the successful candidate to progress within the role.
