The role

This is an exciting time to join Go Swag and make a meaningful impact on our business and the corporate gifting space. You will join our Product team, working as a Product Designer in Glasgow.

Our Product team will be at the forefront of Go Swag’s efforts to once again disrupt the corporate gifting industry. As a Product Designer, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the vision of our business and shape the products and tools that clients like Meta, Amazon, and Spotify use for their swag projects. In this role you will collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and key stakeholders from other teams to develop a deep understanding of our business and its opportunities. You will also take the responsibility to look after many stages of the design process, ranging from research, ideation, and UI design, through to testing, validation, and iterative improvements.

In this role, you will:

  • Work closely with the Head of Product on research initiatives that will greatly influence Product’s strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders, in order to extract and help the company understand the needs and challenges of both our customers and internal teams.
  • Take ownership of projects end-to-end, with a focus on generating ideas and viable solutions to address business opportunities, crafting best-in-class user experiences, and creating polished and accessible interfaces.
  • Work directly with the Tech team to implement new features, iteratively improve on existing functionalities, and ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Drive iterative improvements on existing functionalities through data analysis and user insights.
  • Lead the creation and maintenance of our design system, playing a primary role in the evolution of our brand and look & feel.

What you need to succeed:

  • Proven experience designing complex digital solutions, preferably in tech or tech-enabled startups or similar fast-moving environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects end-to-end, owning all stages of the process from research and ideation through to UX/UI, user testing, and data-driven iterations.
  • Strong UI skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to continuously improve on an existing visual language.
  • Hands-on experience with creating and maintaining design systems in collaboration with engineers.
  • Ability to interpret qualitative and quantitative data to inform and refine design decisions.
  • Demonstrated success working with engineers, product managers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Have a desire and ability to work under minimal supervision, enjoying a great deal of autonomy and accountability, whilst never being afraid to ask others for help or support.
  • Ownership mentality, and the ability to thrive in an environment that values people who take initiatives and always look for new and better ways of doing things.
  • Collaborative spirit and a preference for clear and honest communication.
  • Be kind, empathic, and respectful.

Please be aware that you are welcome to apply for this role even if you don’t meet every single one of the requirements listed above. If you feel qualified for this role but don’t check off a couple of the criteria, we still encourage you to apply. Think of this list as a general guide to the role, not a strict checklist.
