Role overview: As Paid Advertising specialist, you use paid advertising spend to boost the visibility of TikTok Shop content (across Lives, Affiliate Videos and Organic videos). You develop frameworks to identify which content to boost and manage budgets from multiple brands to deliver results. You create sophisticated targeting strategies to maximise return on ad spend. You also own all reporting on Paid Advertising, reviewing spend and efficiency and communicating the results to the wider team. This is a highly analytical role, well suited to someone comfortable with data analysis and with strong organisational skills.
Core responsibilities:
- Develop frameworks for identifying which content should receive Ad support. You will build a set of measurable, quantitative frameworks for deciding whether a specific piece of content should receive Ad support. You will also develop a mechanism for reviewing those frameworks and adjusting the thresholds over time. You will also build and manage a process for reviewing total content performance in order to identify potential Ad content.
- Manage brand budgets and deliver ad spend in line with pre-agreed targets. You will work across all Go Places brands and each will have different budgets and sales targets. You will need to build a way to monitor spend vs. budget on a regular basis and flag potential funding issues.
- Create unique targeting and scheduling strategies to maximise return on ad spend. You will create A/B testing plans to measure the impact of multiple ad campaign variables. You will also need to develop a mechanism for storing, sharing and referring to those learnings to improve performance.
Who you are:
- Naturally analytical. You enjoy analysing large data sets, identifying insights and using them to drive actions.
- Highly organised and structured. You are a planner. You are able to design and organise multiple ad campaigns for multiple brands.
- Clear communicator. You not only excel at interpreting data, you can use it to tell a story and explain it to non-technical colleagues.
- Willing to get your hands dirty. This is not a purely theoretical role. As with any early stage start-up, you will need to balance theory with hands-on execution.
Essential qualifications: Experience with TikTok Shop Paid Advertising.
Preferred qualifications: An analytical background with either a STEM degree or 1-2 years experience working in a highly analytical environment. Experience working at an early-stage start-up.
