Responsible to: Brand Marketing Lead

Role Overview

Supporting in the delivery of the marketing plans for the clothing and footwear partner brands. Planning and creating engaging, relevant and commercially minded content to be used across JD Outdoor channels. Supporting in the development of the JD Outdoor content strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the Brand & Content Marketing Manager to assist in the delivery of the partner brand marketing plans.
  • Contributing to fascia content calendars that align with the campaign planning calendar (season campaigns, product launches, etc) in line with the content strategy.
  • Working with the in-house videographer and social team to produce video content to support the content strategy and partner brand marketing plans.
  • Planning and attending shoots to create video content across all JD Outdoor channels.
  • Briefing in brand pages, e-mails and website banners to the design team for the clothing and footwear partner brands.
  • Producing SEO-rich blog content and expert advice guides.
  • Monitoring content performance and reporting insights, continuously looking for ways to improve the JD Outdoor content strategy and plans.
  • Working closely with the commercial/own brand teams to develop and execute content and marketing activity for own brand ranges - ensuring their messages are delivered across all relevant channels.
  • Communicating campaigns & results.

Role Objectives

  • Campaigns are delivered on time and within budget.
  • KPIS for content views and engagement are achieved.

Skills & Experience

  • An excellent writer, able to write creative and persuasive copy with a defined tone of voice, quickly and accurately.
  • Experience with blog building tools, such as Wordpress, with basic HTML skills.
  • Experience of selling product through marketing and/or retail sales.
  • Knowledge and understanding of what makes a good customer experience.
  • Experience of social media and broader marketing.
  • Experience of developing and managing content calendars.
  • Ability to work collaboratively on projects with multiple stakeholders from across the business.
  • Ability to draw insights from analytic data.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics (advantageous).
  • A passion for the outdoors and outdoors products (advantageous).
