We are seeking an Assistant Store Manager with strong leadership and communication skills to guide our team towards achieving sales and KPI targets while delivering unparalleled customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Store Manager in running all store operations to meet or exceed sales and KPI targets.
  • Set clear sales goals, track performance and evolve processes to drive continuous store growth.
  • Recruit, train and develop staff, fostering a positive team culture.
  • Analyze sales data and financial reports to make data‑driven decisions alongside the Store Manager.
  • Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
  • Manage day‑to‑day operations including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support cash management tasks such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding and training new employees.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
  • Help maintain colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.

Role Objectives & KPI’s

  • Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
  • Drive additional KPIs: Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT and upselling or cross‑selling targets.
  • Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
  • Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
  • Ensure employee satisfaction and engagement survey results meet or exceed company benchmarks.
  • Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast‑paced retail/customer‑facing environment.
  • Passionate about retail and knowledgeable about the latest trends and competitors.
  • Experience coaching and developing individuals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPI’s.
  • Experience analysing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
  • Keen eye for detail and commerciality.
  • Previous experience in visual merchandising is advantageous.
