Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Assistant Manager with strong leadership & communication abilities to guide their team towards achieving sales & KPI targets whilst providing unparalleled service.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the Store Manager in effectively running all store operations to ensure meeting or exceeding sales & KPI targets. Setting clear sales goals, tracking performances, and evolving processes to ensure continuous store growth.
  • Creating a positive team culture through recruiting, training, & continuously developing your staff. Building a motivated and high-performing team, increasing chances of store success.
  • Analyzing sales data and financial reports to make quick and well-informed decisions alongside the Store Manager, identifying and responding to areas of opportunity operationally & commercially.
  • Act as the point of contact for colleagues in the manager’s absence.
  • Provide excellent customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving complaints professionally.
  • Help manage day-to-day operations, including opening and closing procedures.
  • Support cash management tasks, such as processing transactions and reconciling tills.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training new employees.
  • Provide feedback and coaching to colleagues to improve performance.
  • Support the Store Manager in maintaining colleague schedules to ensure proper coverage and productivity.

Role Objectives and KPIs

  • Contribute to achieving or exceeding the store’s monthly sales target.
  • Drive all additional KPIs including but not limited to Units, Conversion, ATV, UPT.
  • Achieve upselling or cross-selling targets.
  • Maintain a high Net Promoter Score.
  • Ensure stock accuracy during store audits.
  • Ensure all new colleagues complete mandatory training.
  • Ensure employee satisfaction scores or engagement survey results meet or exceed company benchmarks.
  • Assist in keeping operational costs within the allocated budget.

Skills And Experience

  • Previous supervisory or management experience in a fast-paced retail/customer-facing environment.
  • Passionate about retail & hold a good understanding of the latest trends and competitors.
  • Previous experience of coaching and developing individuals.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Experience in analyzing KPI data to make commercial decisions.
  • Keen eye for detail & commerciality. Previous experience within visual merchandising would be advantageous.
