As Go North West takes a leading role in delivering the new franchised network, we’re looking for a full‑time Schedules & Network Manager who can turn data, insight and operational know-how into a reliable, efficient and customer‑focused bus network for Merseyside.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the planning, scheduling and optimisation of our franchised bus services.
- Create cost‑effective timetables, vehicle workings, duties and rosters that balance performance, efficiency and customer needs using the HASTUS scheduling suite.
- Work closely with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority (LCRCA) to help bring the Metro vision to life by testing network scenarios, improving punctuality and ensuring services meet high standards of reliability and performance.
- Be the key interface between Go North West and LCRCA on service planning, network changes, punctuality initiatives and schedules data.
- Play a central role in shaping a network that works for customers, colleagues and the wider region.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce efficient timetables, bus workings, duties and rosters.
- Work with LCRCA to test, validate and cost network changes.
- Use performance data (e.g. CitySwift) to drive punctuality improvements.
- Monitor resource levels, PVR, mileage and driver hours.
- Develop Zero Emission Bus (ZEB) schedules using manufacturer performance data.
- Present schedule changes and cost impacts to senior leaders.
- Maintain accurate timetable and fares data across systems.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering and commercial teams.
- Support bids, mobilisation and wider commercial projects.

- Strong experience with bus scheduling software (HASTUS knowledge is beneficial).
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Ability to explain complex scheduling clearly and simply.
- Experience in a unionised environment.
