Bus Driver (Trainee and Qualified) – Go North West

Location: Wigan
Base Pay Range: £12.41 per hour (Pre-Test), £12.41–£14.86 per hour (Passed Test), £15.51–£17.58 per hour after 1yr & licence holder

Go North West was created on 2nd June 2019, when the Go-Ahead Group took over operations at the historic Queens Road bus depot in the heart of Manchester. Since then, the company has worked hard to embed itself firmly within the communities it serves, running an extensive network of routes across Greater Manchester and Salford, including the busy 135 route.

Please note: If you are invited to an assessment centre it will be held at the Queens Road depot in Manchester, where all training will also take place.

Requirements

• Possess a full UK driving licence with no more than three points and the right to work in the UK.
• Prior experience as a bus driver is welcomed; enthusiastic newcomers are also considered.
• Show a positive, outgoing attitude with excellent communication skills to engage passengers.
• Have a knack for delivering exceptional customer service and creating a welcoming onboard environment.
• Be able to undergo training and acquire a PCV licence through the esteemed Driver Academy.
• Commit to safety, punctuality, and teamwork to ensure smooth operation.
