Across Go North East we operate over 500 vehicles daily, connecting passengers across the region, with technicians playing a fundamental role in ensuring these vehicles are fit for operation. We have depots in Consett, Gateshead, Hexham, North Shields, Sunderland and Washington and are looking for a Mobile Technician to work across all of our depots.
Responsibilities
- The maintenance and repair of Company vehicles to the highest standards set by the Company.
- The preparation of vehicles for annual PCV tests.
- To handle vehicles and any other Company equipment with due care and attention.
- Thorough diagnosis and precise rectification of vehicle faults.
- To ensure that the vehicles required for service are serviced at the highest possible standard and that the instructions of the Fleet Engineer in this respect are carried out.
- To ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Health and Safety at Work Act or any other Acts, rules or regulations which the company adheres to.
Requirements
- Applicant must be fully qualified HGV or PCV fitter with minimum NVQ level 2 or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years experience.
- Previous working with Cummins, Volvo, Mercedes, Yutong, Wrightbus.
- A Full Manual Car licence is required.
- A PCV Licence is preferred, but not essential.
Hours: 38 hours per week Any 5 days out of 7. Overtime may be required to meet company requirements.
