This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in developing the depot operation.
The role involves overseeing the day-to-day operation of the depot, supporting warehouse activity, transport coordination, stock control and customer service. You will work closely with the team to ensure materials are received, managed and delivered efficiently and on time. This is a hands-on operational role suited to somebody who is organised, proactive and comfortable working within a fast-paced construction distribution environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee daily warehouse and depot operations
- Coordinate inbound goods, stock control and outbound deliveries
- Support transport planning and vehicle loading activity
- Maintain high standards of Health & Safety across the depot
- Lead and support warehouse and driver teams
- Ensure materials are stored, handled and dispatched correctly
- Help maintain stock accuracy and operational efficiency
- Support customer collections and day-to-day depot enquiries
- Work closely with management to help develop the depot operation
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience within warehouse, distribution or construction materials operations
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good understanding of warehouse processes and stock control
- Ability to lead by example and support a small operational team
- Positive, hands-on approach with good attention to detail
- Forklift licence beneficial
- Experience within construction materials distribution preferred
