Here at Go Inspire we have an opportunity for a time served Mechanical Engineer to join our team based in Kettering. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis working on a permanent night shift on 4 x 10 hours shifts, Monday to Thursday, in return you will receive a competitive salary.
Your role will include effective planning in conjunction with fellow team members to ensure the uptime of business assets, by maintaining equipment through regular PPM’s and efficient repairs, to always ensure continuity of production. You will be working in a Commercial Printers which house a variety of machinery, from Goss Web and Heidelberg Sheetfed printing presses, to large format Guillotines, Folders and Stitching Lines.
Requirements:
- Be a time serviced Mechanical Engineer with the relevant qualifications.
- Have operated in a Manufacturing environment.
- Have sound problem solving approach to technical faults/breakdowns.
- Have a high level of attention to detail.
- Can work within time constraints where necessary.
- Can work under pressure at times of critical breakdowns.
- Have a ‘Can Do’ attitude.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure on site equipment and machinery is maintained to a planned schedule to facilitate continuity of production.
- Attend breakdowns as necessary, facilitating repairs to ensure continuity of production is a priority.
- Continuously developing working methods in order to maximise service levels.
- Maintain high level of Health and Safety Standards.
- Comply with all legal, safety and environmental requirements.
