HR Advisor

Home-based with travel to Go HR Office in Armscote, Warwickshire

Employment Type:
Part-time, starting at 20 hours per week with the potential to increase to Full-time.

Working Pattern
:
4 hours per day, Monday to Friday

What You\’ll Be Doing
Generalist HR Support

You\’ll be a trusted first point of contact for clients, providing clear, practical advice that aligns with best practice. This includes:

β€’ Managing HR inboxes and ensuring timely, accurate responses

β€’ Handling key HR processes: starters, leavers, references, inductions, employee changes and payroll notifications

β€’ Preparing letters, contracts, and staff documentation

β€’ Supporting absence management and keeping HRIS data accurate and compliant

β€’ Helping clients navigate discipline, grievance, harassment, performance and other ER matters

β€’ Keeping our client HR portals, the Go HR Toolkit up to date

Client-Facing HR Delivery

Working with our clients on a day 2 day basis delivering:

β€’ Manage end-to-end recruitment processes

β€’ Coordinate onboarding and probation reviews

β€’ Produce letters for promotions, changes to terms, and salary amendments

β€’ Support redundancy processes

β€’ Organise and prepare training sessions and materials

β€’ Lead regular client review meetings to build strong relationships and maintain a proactive HR approach

Project Support

β€’ Assist with policy updates, training sessions, and wider client projects

β€’ Help streamline HR processes and improve operational efficiency

β€’ Support HR-related events, workshops, and documentation preparation

β€’ Translate employment law updates into clear, practical guidance for SMEs

β€’ Attend networking events and business exhibitions to promote the Go HR brand

What We Expect From You

β€’ A strong understanding of how HR adds value to SME businesses

β€’ The ability to build trusted relationships and give honest, straightforward advice

β€’ Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple clients and deadlines

β€’ A proactive mindset, with the confidence to take ownership and move work forward

β€’ A genuine commitment to doing the right thing for clients and their people

Skills and Experience
Essential

β€’ CIPD qualified

β€’ Proven experience in HR or a related support role

β€’ Good knowledge of HR processes and UK employment law

β€’ Strong communication skills

β€’ High proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

β€’ Confident working with HR systems and maintaining accurate records

β€’ Comfortable using social media for business

Desirable

β€’ Experience in consultancy or multi-client environments

β€’ Familiarity with HR software and content creation tools

β€’ Experience using Canva

β€’ Confident using CRM systems
