Position Summary

Why join our team?

Samsung's advertising and services business operates across one of the world's largest connected-device ecosystems.

This is a role for someone who wants to solve complex product problems at the intersection of privacy, advertising, data and connected-device technology.

Few product roles offer the opportunity to work across all four.

You will own an increasingly important product domain for our EMEA business, shaping how consent capabilities develop alongside our advertising, data and measurement products and working with regional and global product, engineering and privacy teams to make it happen.

This is a role for someone who enjoys navigating technical complexity, influencing across global teams and building product capabilities that sit at the foundation of a growing advertising and services business.

We are expanding our Product & Go-To-Market function and looking for a Privacy Product Lead to join our rapidly growing advertising and services business, on an on-going contract basis.

The Privacy Product Lead is the product owner for consent and privacy-related products in EMEA.

This role owns the product roadmap, requirements and delivery sequencing for our consent capabilities, including the management and development of existing consent mechanisms.

The role works closely with our data and privacy compliance function to translate legal and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements, and with global product and engineering teams to ensure those requirements are understood, prioritised and delivered.

This is not a privacy or legal role.

Privacy owns regulatory interpretation, policy and compliance.

This role owns the product: what needs to be built, how it is prioritised and how it gets delivered.

  • Role and Responsibilities
  • Your key responsibilities
  • Consent & Privacy Product Ownership
  • Own the EMEA product roadmap for consent and privacy-related products, including our existing consent mechanisms.

Set the strategy and priorities for the domain, define what needs to be built or changed, and maintain clear product ownership through delivery and ongoing operation.

  • Work closely with the Ad Experiences and Data & Measurement Product & GTM teams to understand their requirements and ensure the consent and privacy product roadmap supports the products and capabilities they are developing.
  • Product Delivery & Technical Readiness
  • Translate the roadmap into clear product requirements and work with global product and engineering teams to get them delivered.

Own requirements, acceptance criteria, delivery sequencing and testing, manage technical dependencies and risks, and ensure capabilities are ready for implementation and rollout.

  • Product & Privacy Partnership
  • Act as the primary product counterpart to Privacy.

Translate legal, regulatory and policy requirements into clear product specifications, working closely with the Privacy team throughout development to resolve requirements and ensure there is clear ownership between what Privacy defines and what Product delivers.

  • Global Product & Engineering Relationship
  • Represent EMEA's consent and privacy product requirements with the relevant global product and engineering teams.

Ensure regional requirements are understood and reflected in planning and roadmap decisions, track global developments that affect the EMEA roadmap, and build the relationships required to drive alignment and delivery without formal authority.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • This role operates at the intersection of multiple functions and global teams - strong influencing skills and the ability to drive alignment without formal authority are essential.
  • What this role is not

This role does not own privacy policy, regulatory interpretation or compliance - that sits with Privacy.

It does not own GTM strategy, positioning or sales activation - that sits with the relevant GTM teams.

It is not a project management role.

This role owns the product requirements, roadmap, prioritisation and technical readiness for the domain

  • What we need for this role
  • To be successful, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, ideally within Ad Tech, CTV, data, and/or privacy technology.
  • Strong understanding of CTV and streaming ad products - how they are built, how they deliver, and how they are sold, and the related privacy and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to hold commercial and technical perspectives simultaneously and find the connection between them.
  • Proven track record of owning product requirements and delivering products through engineering or product teams.
  • Experience managing a product roadmap, prioritising requirements and coordinating dependencies across multiple teams.
  • Ability to translate complex business, legal or policy requirements into clear product specifications.
  • Technically literate - able to engage directly with product and engineering teams on requirements and technical dependencies.
  • Experience working with global product or engineering teams and influencing roadmap prioritisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work across different functions and seniority levels.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Action-oriented self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and able to lead a product domain independently.

Additional experience and expertise that would be helpful

  • Consent management or privacy technology.
  • IAB Europe Transparency & Consent Framework (TCF).
  • Pan-European experience in media or ad tech preferred.

Deep privacy or legal expertise is not required. The role will work closely with dedicated Privacy specialists who own regulatory interpretation and compliance.

What does success look like?

Success will be evident when consent and privacy-related products have clear ownership, a well-defined roadmap, and are evolving alongside the needs of our advertising, data and measurement products.

Privacy and Product operate as close partners, with regulatory requirements translated into clear product requirements and incorporated early in the development process.

Our global product and engineering teams understand ESBO's priorities and treat the region as a valued input into roadmap decisions.

Ultimately, the role is successful when consent is a well-managed product domain — with the right requirements anticipated, prioritised and delivered rather than becoming blockers later in the product lifecycle.
