A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional full time Vacuum Tanker Driver/Drainage Engineer for one of the capitals leading maintenance service companies in Greater London & surrounding counties. Our established company specialises in Drainage, Plumbing and other various services to both domestic and commercial clients. As one of our Engineers, you will be required to carry out a range of services associated with cleaning, clearance, repair and maintenance of both domestic and commercial drainage (including both reactive & planned works) in and around the Central London area and to deliver a high standard of customer service and technical expertise whilst maintaining a high standard in regard to the company, your vehicle and equipment. NO DRAINAGE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED AS FULL TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN.
Responsibilities:
- Clearing blockages including, manholes and mainline drains.
- Emptying cess pits, treatment plants & septic tanks.
- Confined space entry.
- Assisting pump engineers on servicing & pump station empties.
- Flooded basement & void pump outs.
- Assisting drainage teams with Planned Preventative Maintenance programmes (PPM).
- Accurately recording job details via internal and client systems.
- Weekly call out work and overtime will apply.
- Communicating effectively with clients and reporting to the Help Desk Manager and team to ensure excellent customer service is provided at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Engineers must have at least 5 years HGV & industry experience (vacuum tanker operating preferred but not essential).
- Hold a full clean UK driving licence with no more than 6 points.
- Must have experience driving LGV 1 vehicles.
- A valid CSCS card is preferred but not essential.
- A valid CS1 card is preferred but not essential.
- High pressure water jetting.
- Be able to approach and resolve problems logically.
- Show commitment and enthusiasm for the task in hand.
- Being a team player is essential as on occasions you will be working within a team as well as using your own initiative at times.
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + Overtime (Based on experience)
