Work
As an apprentice, you'll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You'll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you'll do at work
- Assist experienced tradespeople with property maintenance and repair work.
- Carry out basic carpentry, painting and decorating, plumbing and general building maintenance tasks.
- Prepare materials, tools and work areas before starting work.
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to residential and commercial properties.
- Learn to use a range of hand and power tools safely.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Travel to customer sites with colleagues.
- Deliver excellent customer service while working in occupied properties.
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
- Complete apprenticeship coursework and training activities.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
