Go-Ahead London is seeking an experienced and dynamic Service Delivery Manager to oversee the daily operations of our bus garages. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient management of bus services, with a focus on achieving operational excellence and delivering a customer-centric experience. As Service Delivery Manager, you will have direct responsibility for a team of Drivers and Senior Garage Supervisors, working closely with other key stakeholders to meet contract KPIs and uphold the highest standards of service.

Reports To: General Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to‑day garage operations, acting as the first point of contact for Drivers and Senior Garage Supervisors.
• Foster a positive and engaged team culture through regular interaction, reward, and recognition schemes, and team‑building activities.
• Conduct performance management, including annual reviews, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
• Oversee all aspects of fleet management, ensuring vehicles meet safety, presentation, and compliance standards.
• Develop and implement action plans to address operational issues, including lost mileage, driving standards, and attendance management.
• Liaise regularly with I‑Bus control centres, Engineering Supervisors, and other departments to resolve emerging issues and maintain service quality.
• Monitor and enforce health and safety standards within the garage.
• Manage driver resources, including scheduling, leave allocation, and the apprenticeship programme.

About You

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operational management, preferably within a Public Transport environment. You will be an effective leader with the ability to engage and motivate your team, driving performance and delivering results in a fast‑paced, 24/7 environment. Your approach will be flexible and adaptable, capable of managing multiple priorities while maintaining a focus on safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
