Who are we

Go-Ahead London is the capital’s largest bus operator, employing over 8,000 people at 17 garages, mostly in South East, South West, North East and East London. An award-winning company with a well-regarded industry reputation, we have opened three new garages in the last five years and run a quarter of London’s iconic red bus network on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) using 2,450 vehicles.

We are now looking to recruit a Senior Vehicle Engineer to be based at our Waterloo garage. We seek someone who will strive to provide reliable and effective maintenance to ensure that we deliver a dependable service that people can trust, helping to create a London where every journey is taken care of.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a ‘can do’ individual who is open and approachable, comfortable working with a team, and able to be forward-looking, flexible, and adaptable to changing business demands.

Qualifications

Ideally, you should be qualified to City & Guilds level 3 or NVQ level 3 or equivalent and have experience working on HGV or PCV vehicles. Additionally, applicants are required to hold a PCV licence. If the applicant does not hold a PCV licence, training will be provided. The successful candidate will be required to work early/late shifts Monday – Friday (38 hours a week), including Bank Holidays as required.
