Go-Ahead London is the capital's largest bus operator, employing over 8,000 people at 17 garages across London. An award-winning company with a well-regarded industry reputation, we have opened three new garages in the last five years and run a quarter of London's iconic red bus network on behalf of Transport for London (TfL) using 2,450 vehicles.
We are now recruiting a Senior Vehicle Engineer to be based at our Camberwell garage. We are looking for someone who will strive to provide reliable and effective maintenance so we can ensure a reliable service that people can trust, and help create a London where every journey is taken care of.
Responsibilities
- Provide reliable and effective maintenance to ensure reliable service.
- Work within a team, being approachable, flexible and adaptable to changing business demands.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds level 3 or NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Experience working on HGV or PCV vehicles.
- Hold a PCV licence (or willing to train).
- Ability to work early/late shifts, 7 days a week (38 hours a week), including weekends and Bank Holidays as required.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: £962.48 per week (GS20).
- Pension scheme.
- 20 days holiday.
- Travel pass for London Buses and the Tube Network.
